Due to misinformation in the health sector and the lack of a regional digital fundraising platform, we created the HealthAngels mobile application (prototype) that will be used by users, especially youths within Ugandan, interested in health to;
- Raise awareness about healthcare and health within the country. For example, one may raise awareness or report or rate (on a scale of 1-5 stars) a health service or product provided within the country, or raise awareness or report about a health-related issue like corruption, floods or a pandemic like Ebola,
- Hold online telecommunications including mobile visits, consultations, meetings and conferences, among others, and finally
- Fundraise for their health initiatives.
At this stage, this mobile application has impacted at least 1000 people.
