Youth training workshops

Due to the limited skills and access of resources amongst youths, especially on sustainable fundraising and project pitching, we decided to establish training workshops on both issues. To show our commitment to youths, in 2021, we organized a training workshop on fundraising sustainability with the support of Democracy Moves, where participants were trained on;

1. Democracy, governance and peace-building, especially UNSCR 2250 on youth, peace and security,
2. Developing institutional policies including vision and mission,
3. Proposal writing including developing a project statement of need, goal, mission, objectives, outcome and impact,
4. Budgeting,
5. Reporting including developing a M,E&L report,
6. Team brainstorming,
7. Networking, and
8. Pitching.

Furthermore, in 2022, we organized an online training workshop on project pitching with the support of the Bosch Alumni Network, where participants were trained on;

1. Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (EVAWG),
2. Problem/opportunity,
3. Value proposition/Impact,
4. Underlying magic,
5. Go-To-Market Plan, and
6. Competitive analysis.

This project has benefitted at least 20 trainees directly and at least 60 people indirectly.
