MIGHT Foundation (MIGHT)

Through our in-person survey and training workshops, we train children, youths and leaders (age 6-27) on;

  1. Good governance, particularly bottom-up governance,
  2. Environment protection, and climate action,
  3. Mental health,
  4. Violence, especially against women and girls,
  5. Peace and security, and
  6. Legislative theater or theatre of the oppressed.

During the workshops, we train participants, i.e village and national citizens, on how to use Music, Dance and Drama in combination with legislative theatre or theatre of the oppressed to;

  1. Raise awareness on environmental protection, climate action campaigns, mental health, violence and conflicts, and peace and security, especially at the village level,
  2. Hold leaders to account on issues raised awareness about. For instance, as mentioned in 1 above, and
  3. Engage participants in policy development, through the use of a legislative theatre play, a process that calls on participants to decide/vote on a policy that best addresses the challenge acted out in the watched play.

Finally, we use the workshops, i.e before and after the dialogues, to receive project feedback from children and youths about the challenges they face, the potential solutions to such challenges and how our project activities can address such challenges or whether there’s a need to amend our activities in order to meet their challenges.

This activity has impacted at least 1000 people directly, and supported the provision of school requirement for at least 90 students.
