The digital health mobile application

Due to misinformation in the health sector and the lack of a regional digital fundraising platform, we decided to create this mobile app which is currently under development. The mobile application (app) will have be used by Ugandans interested in health to;

1. a) Report any health issues within the country . For example, one may report on corruption within the health sector, rate health government services, report accidents within the country including floods or pandemic diseases like the current Ebola disease in Uganda, so that assistance may be delivered to the beneficiaries in the affected region early/on-time, further
2. b) Ugandans will also use the app to share live in-person meetings, conferences, talk shows and national emergencies among others, and finally
3. c) Fundraisers, where Ugandans will be able to raise funds for their health initiatives including fundraising for an individual’s poor health/illness. The feature will help activists fundraise for their initiatives given the absence of international fundraising platforms like GoFundMe in Africa, especially Uganda.

At scale, this app will have more features so that the interests of researchers, gamers, health officials and patients interested in better health or a better health system are met. Furthermore, it will also be established on Apple store and through a website in order to increase our community impact given the absence of smart devices at the grassroots/village level.

This project will benefit at least 1,000 people directly.
